    Aclinic (ȧ‑klĭnˈĭk), a. [Gr. ἀ priv. + κλίνειν to incline.] (Physics.) Without inclination or dipping; -- said of the imaginary line near the earth's equator on which the magnetic needle balances itself horizontally, having no dip.
