Gange (gănj), v. t. [imp. & p. p. Ganged (gănjd); p. pr. & vb. n. Ganging (gănˈjĭng).] [Of uncertain origin.]
1. To protect (the part of a line next a fishhook, or the hook itself) by winding it with wire.
