Hind (hīnd), n. [AS. hind; akin to D. hinde, OHG. hinta, G. hinde, hindin, Icel., Sw., & Dan. hind, and perh. to Goth. hinþan to seize (in comp.), E. hunt, or cf. Gr. κεμάς a young deer.]
