    Cœnurus , n. [NL. fr. Gr. κοινός common + οὐρά tail.] (Zool.) The larval stage of a tapeworm (Tænia cœnurus) which forms bladderlike sacs in the brain of sheep, causing the fatal disease known as water brain, vertigo, staggers or gid.
